Frequently Asked Questions
Is there an order cutoff time?
Yes, and it is every Thursday evening. We roast and ship out coffees on Fridays of each week and need preparation time, so all orders are exported for Friday prep on Thursday afternoon.
Any order placed on Friday will be roasted and shipped the following week, so get your order in on time.
Do you have a Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)?
To qualify for reduced wholesale pricing you must order 5kg of coffee.
If you would like less than 5kg worth of F.C products please send an email to roastery@fathercarpenter.com and we can sort out a price for you.
Can I request a roast date for my coffee?
We cannot take specific or custom requests for roasting dates, but rest assured we'll send you the freshest coffee possible.
How long will it take for my order to ship?
Father Carpenter coffee are roasted and dispatched every Friday afternoon, so please remember that your order must be in before the order deadline of 12pm Thursday for a Friday dispatch.
You can opt for DPD Tracked shipping, which is the cheaper option and therefore slower, or UPS Express Saver which is a little more expensive but incredibly fast.
Is there tracking for my delivery?
You will receive a tracking number with your order fulfillment email. If you experience any challenges with your delivery or want to make any changes in your delivery options, you must contact the courier and reference your tracking number.
Father Carpenter doesn't take responsibility for damaged or lost goods due to delivery issues, and unfortunately we cannot offer refunds due to the shipping errors. Additionally, if you have purchased products without tracking or are in a country where tracking doesn't apply, you must reach out to the delivery company for support.
My package was returned to sender. Can I have a replacement delivery?
If your order comes back to us because of a error on our behalf we will send it out again. However, Father Carpenter does not take responsibility for any of the following reasons for deliveries being returned:
- Incorrectly submitted shipping details from the buyer / if you placed the wrong address on the order
- Recipient not home / name wasn't visible on the door/doorbell
- Parcel was not picked up from a collection spot within the allocated period
Upon receiving returns we will provide a refund for the order excl. delivery cost OR reship your order if the error was ours.
How does payment work?
You have a few options.
Immediate payment can be made when placing your order with PayPal or Credit Card.
If you require payment terms we offer 15 days to any and all customers, but are strict with the 15 days. Our bank details are at the base of the invoice.
We do not take any cash payments for orders.
Can I place large orders?
You certainly can! Depending on the size of the order we require notice. If you would like more than 500x bags of coffee we ask that you provide us with an email in advance.
If you are outside of the EU and wish to place an order that exceeds 1.000 EUR net we ask that you either place multiple orders under the 1.000 EUR ceiling or simply send us an email with your proposed order. The reason for this is that the German Customs office delays all orders of 1.000 EUR and above (which no one appreciates).
Do you provide training?
Short answer - yes.
If you choose to work with Father Carpenter as your coffee supplier then we offer hands on training with you, be it in person or virtual. We consider it success if our coffee tastes great in your shop.
